Notes: Today’s multiple bet is an E/W Patent. Full instructions for placing multiple bets can be found in the “Accumulate!” tab above, or the “Accumulate! Walkthrough” below.

Qualifiers will be posted Tuesday – Saturday at approximately 10:00am (UK time).

If today’s selections aren’t displayed yet, please wait until 10:15am and refresh the page.

“Odds” indicates the best odds available when our selections are posted. “Min Odds” provides an odds-line, below which a selection no longer represents value. The aim of this feature is to help you avoid placing bets that aren’t value for money.

Each Way Strategy

Our selections produce substantial profits using straight win or E/W bets, but we prefer E/W bets because they provide more regular and consistent profits.

We recommend splitting your bankroll into 250 equal points, and staking 1 point each way.

For example, with a £1,000 bankroll calculate: £1,000 / 250 = £4 each way (£8 staked).

To place an each way bet, select the “E/W” option on your bookies betslip.

You can also use Betfair by staking 1 point in the “win” market, and staking 1 point in the market offering the highest number of places (this will be labelled “3 places”, “4 places”, “5 places” etc.)

If you’re still unsure how to place an E/W bet, please scroll down and watch the “placing your bets” tutorial.

Bank Builder Strategy

This method allows you to build your bankroll more quickly, and it involves re-investing your profits and increasing your stakes as your bankroll builds.

A £1,000 bankroll compounded at the end of each month may look something like:

£1,000 starting bankroll = £8 stake

£1,250 bankroll after month 1 = £10 stake

£1,500 bankroll after month 2 = £12 stake

£1,375 bankroll after month 3 = £11 stake

£1,750 bankroll after month 4 = £14 stake

And so on.

An additional option is to remove your initial investment once your bankroll has doubled in size. Although this initially slows your rate of return, it creates a Risk-Free Investment so this practise is highly recommended.

Alternatively, you can reinvest your profits into our Accumulate! strategy – please refer to the Accumulate! tab for more information.

Accumulate! Strategy

We’re running a new Betting Challenge this year, with the aim of making 1,000+ points profit using our Accumulate! betting strategy…

This strategy can be used alongside your E/W bets by investing an additional bankroll, or alternatively you can reinvest your profits from your E/W bets to create a Risk-Free Investment.

With this approach, you’re able to use Accumulate! to maximise your profits without any risk to your original investment.

We recommend placing the following Acca bet, depending how many Value Bets we select on a given day:

2 selections = E/W Double (2 points staked)

3 selections = E/W Patent (14 points staked)

4 selections = E/W Lucky 15 (30 points staked)

5 selections = E/W Lucky 31 (62 points staked)

Please note, if we have more than one selection in a given race, we recommend choosing the selection with the highest odds.

For this strategy, we recommend splitting your bankroll into 500 equal points, and staking 1 point per line.

For example, with a £1,000 bankroll calculate: £1,000 / 500 = £2 per line.

If you’re unsure how to place an E/W Acca bet, please scroll down and watch the Accumulate! walkthrough video.

Bookies

Although many punters place bets with a single bookie, setting up accounts with 3 – 5 bookies helps to ensure you always get on at the best odds.

We have included a list of the major bookie firms below, in the order we recommend setting them up.

At time of writing, four of our top five bookies offer bet guarantees, which enables all accounts holders to get their Horse Racing bets on (even they are restricted).

More information on bet guarantees and avoiding restrictions can be found in our Perfect Punting Guide >>>

Betfair SP Strategy

Some punters prefer to use Betfair exchange instead of the bookie.

All Value Bets can be placed on the exchange, however we recommend taking the current price instead of Betfair SP.

If you wish to place your bets at Betfair SP, please use the following strategy:

1. Bet all selections with “Odds” of 15 or higher.

2. Omit all selections with “Odds” of 13 or lower.

For this strategy, we recommend splitting your bankroll into 400 equal points, and staking 1 point each way.

For example, with a £1,000 bankroll calculate: £1,000 / 400 = £2.50 each way (£5 staked).

Stake 1 point in the “win” market, and stake 1 point in the market offering the highest number of places (this will be labelled “3 places”, “4 places”, “5 places” etc.)

Performance Review: 2013 – 2023

We have been tracking Value Bets for almost 11 years, and this gives us an excellent sample of data which allows us to clearly see how profitable the service has been to follow so far.

It also enables us to make an educated prediction for what we can expect to earn from the service going forward, and to see if it’s worth making any changes to the service as we progress.

Headline Figures

Level Stakes Profit: +2,527 points

Strike Rate (e/w): 25%

Return on stakes: 15%

Return on capital: 842%

Understanding Variance

Variance is something that the majority of us overlook, because believing that we can predict exactly how much profit we are going to make, in advance, is both exciting and alluring.

For example, if we can make 25 points profit per month, at £20 stakes that’s £500, which would give us an income of £6,000 per year…great!

The problem is, profits from betting don’t arrive in a linear, predictable fashion – often far from it – and this is called variance. We should therefore expect plenty of variance in the short-term, and simply accept it as a necessary part of our journey to profit.

This may not be the most exciting prospect, but it is essential to your success.

Once we understand and accept variance, it’s clear to see that the best way to approach our betting is to treat it as a long-term investment, and the longer we stick with one particular betting service, the more we can overcome variance and ensure a substantial profit.

Future Prediction

In attempting to predict what we can expect to earn in future, we will use the Average Annual P/L figure which measures how much profit the service makes over the course of a typical year.

For Value Bets, the average annual P/L  stands at +272 points.

At £10 stakes, that’s £2,720 profit per year.

At £100 stakes, that’s £27,200 profit per year.

Finally, it’s important to note that the above profit figures are by no means a guarantee. However, they are the most accurate measure of profitability we can make, based on the overall performance from 2013 – 2023.

Accumulate! Update

In 2022 we started testing a new strategy called Accumulate!, with the aim of making additional profits from one daily “Acca” bet.

Since then, the results so far have been very impressive and we began posting each days “Acca” bet on the selections page starting in 2023.

You can view the results to date HERE.

Please refer to the Accumulate! tab for more information on this strategy and how to start using it alongside your E/W bets.
